Vampire Step-Dad Update:
Oh man, I am feeling the pressure. I’ve got this EP release coming up, and I’m not sure I can make it. I’ve got SO MUCH to do, and so little time. Not to mention with holidays December is basically only half a month…I’m not feeling confident. Right now I’m dealing with this cold that’s got me on my ass, add in work and family life…hoo boy, this is gonna be a tense couple of months. I could push back the release, but this being a romance themed EP, I really feel like getting it out before Valentine’s Day is essential.

Well, all I can do is buckle down and see how much I can get done. Wish me luck!

Oh! I almost forgot. Starting December 12th, I’m going to have a contest, where you’ll be given the chance to win some exclusive merch that is currently available to NO ONE. You could be the first kid in school to own this thing. What is it? You’ll have to wait to find out. What will you have to do to enter? I’ll tell you this, it’s something a lot more meaningful than sharing a post on Facebook or following me on Twitter. Hopefully it’s something you can get behind. So keep your eye out for that! I’ll be announcing it on my Twitter and Facebook page. (The irony of making a joke about Facebook and Twitter, and then linking to my Facebook and Twitter pages is NOT lost on me.)

Vampire Step-Dad Update:
Hello again everyone! Issue #2! That makes this kinda official, right? Well, once is easy, twice is showing promise, but maybe I can’t say I’ve actually got this until the third one.

So last issue I had some decent news to reveal to you, so following that up is somewhat of a challenge.

I’m focusing fully on getting the last two songs together for what I’m temporarily calling the “Love EP”. I’ve got voice actors lined up for the next installment of “Thursday at 7”. Oh yeah, I only hinted at that in the last one. OK, so there’s a decent reveal, right? The next EP will have another “commercial” like A Night In The Life Of… did. Surprise!

I’ve started looking into live streaming my writing sessions. I tried out Periscope for the first one, but I’ll likely use Facebook from now on. A Night In The Life Of… outsold Sweater Weather in just 19 days. And Sweater Weather had been out for 4 months at that point. I can’t tell you how inspiring it is too see you guys reacting so positively to my music. I’ve been making music in one form or another for 20 years, and the general theme has always been lackluster response, so this is a welcome change, and it’s all thanks to you awesome people that are willing to support the artists you love. Thank you.

Some of you may have caught that I was shooting a music video. After the first edit it wasn’t quite where I wanted it, so we’re going to have to do some reshoots, which will take forever, so it’s going to be a while. Sorry there’s no good news on that front.

I have two new EPs in the works. I’ve told this to some of you, but not much on details, so here’s some exclusive info just for you wonderful people:

In Mid January-February, I’ll be releasing a romance themed EP. Just in time for VD Day. I mean V Day. Valentine’s Day. 6 songs, as is tradition, and 1 non-song track. Hmm…I wonder what that could be…

After THAT, at an undetermined date, I will be releasing another EP, this one themed as a cop drama. If the sweet romance of the previous EP didn’t excite you, then maybe an action packed one will. Expect more High Stakes style.
